NOTE: This is based on a debian installation.


1) Install Samba: 

  $ sudo aptitude install samba smbclient


2) Configure (Initial):

a) Workgroup/Domain Name: PONYSW b) Use password encryption? YES c) Use WINS from DHCP? No d) How to run Samba: daemons e) Create password database? Yes


3) Configure (Advanced):

a) Backup and update /etc/samba/smb.conf
